Beginning in the 2008-09 season, the CHBC will hold a monthly drawing for members under the age of 18 participating in organized hockey. Winners will receive a $100 gift certificate to a hockey pro shop of their choice. Winners will also be featured in our monthly newsletter and on the website. Join today!
In addition to supporting the Lake Erie Monsters, the CHBC is also active in the community. This year’s charitable work includes:
$1800 spent on scholarship book store cards for three local high school seniors who earned this award by writing an essay on “What High School Hockey Has Meant to Me”.
$400 to High School Club League Hockey to help cover the cost of food for the 12 teams playing for the Buckeye Cup in Strongsville. There are four teams each from Cincinnati, Columbus and Cleveland participating.
Game tickets for two groups to attend a Monsters game. Twenty kids and adults from Big Brothers-Big Sisters attended one game and twenty seniors from the Valley View Senior Center attended a game.
